Well it's Monday again, I feel like the Monday after Easter sucks a little bit more then usual. I have the day off from classes though, which eases the pain a bit, but I still have to head back to school today. I am counting down the days until classes are over, I've got about 2 1/2 weeks and I am done!! So how was your Easter weekend? I had a nice, very relaxed day yesterday, and I'm going to tell you all about it.
First my sister and I opened our baskets that the Easter Bunny left for us. My sister is still a child and could not wait to open them. Here are all the fun goodies that were in my basket!
"If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" has been my favorite book since I was little. Ever since then I've collected all the books in the series and was so excited when I got this! I had no idea that they came out with an Easter book and it is too cute.
I absolutely love these! They are so girly and have a very Kate Spade feel to me. I cannot wait to wear one (I'm feeling the pink polka dot bow) this week.
This towel is so bright and cheerful, and will go great with my kitchen at school! It's so funny to me that it makes me feel so grown up when I get excited to get things for my apartment.
Good Luck Charm
I've already put this little charm in my purse so I can keep it with me all the time. It will be especially handy with finals coming up!
Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs
The Easter Bunny knows me all too well and filled my basket to the brim with these delicious treats! I now have enough to hold me over for quite a while!

Alex & Ani Villanova Bracelet
The Easter Bunny pre-ordered this for me and I cannot wait for it to come in. I love my school so much and cannot wait to have another thing to show off my pride! I am especially excited to pair it with my sorority Alex & Ani, they will look too cute together.
The Easter Bunny also left a little check to use when I go to Greece. That way I have a little extra spending money to buy some goodies over there too!
Big thanks to the Bunny for all the great gifts!
After opening our baskets we decided to dye Easter eggs. I will seriously be dying eggs for my whole life because I love doing it!
We brought 3 different types of kits this year: a candy apple kit, a metallic kit, and a chalkboard kit. While they were all super fun to do the chalkboard kit was my favorite.
We got the chalkboard kit at Williams Sonoma (the others were from the grocery store), and it was definitely the most 'grown up' Easter egg kit I've ever seen. I didn't realize until after my Mom boiled the eggs that the kit included tools to blow the eggs out so that you could keep them, so I landed up forgoing that step. I really enjoyed painting each egg with the chalk paint and then drawing on them when they dried. I'm not the best with chalk, but I was really happy with how the eggs came out. Since we had so many different kits I have some of the chalkboard paint left over and am thinking up a project to do with it over the summer!
I thought that the other eggs came out really pretty too! The ones to the left are from the candy apple kit, they had this awesome shiny finish to them, and the ones on the right are from the metallic kit. The cool thing about both kits was that you did not drop the eggs in the dye, but instead painted the dye on them, which was really fun!
After dying eggs we went to my Gammy's house for a little bit, and then came home and had a delicious dinner that my Mom made. Unfortunately since Easter is so close to the end of the semester I am swamped with work and had to work on some homework instead of helping to cook, which was a bummer. Since I got my homework done though I was able to watch a cute Easter movie with my Mom and then I called it an early night since we have to get on the road today. I definitely had a really nice time and cannot wait for a few short weeks and then I am home again!
How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun to celebrate the holiday?!

What a terrific Easter, and Easter basket. Love the different egg decorating, with my grandson and his two eight year old buddies we stuck to the traditional. Nice to have a little extra spending money for the upcoming Greece trip too. Best Wishes in the last few weeks. I can hardly believe that my youngest daughter is also graduating too! Where does the time fly!
