I confess that I once (accidentally) plucked off half an eyebrow. Since then I have strictly waxed my brows, other then plucking a stray hair here & there, because having half an eyebrow is not a cute look.

I confess that I get rid of mascara clumps by running a safety pin through them & that I should probably stop doing this.

I confess that I hate styling my hair, & I’m really not good at doing much beyond a few basic things with it. If there was one beauty thing that I could pay someone to do for me everyday it would hands down be to do my hair.

I confess that I have a bad habit of picking at my skin to pop anything that appears. I know it’s bad & actually think it’s gross, but I can’t stop so don’t judge me.

I confess that I need to figure out how to be less high maintenance with my beauty routine before I leave for Greece. I’ve already thought of a few things that I can pare down, but if anyone has any tips for beauty while abroad I’m all ears!
Have a great weekend!
Today I'm linking up with A Blonde Ambition.
Oh man eyebrows. I had a similar experience. I have been getting mine threaded for a few years now (I have super sensitive skin that can't handle wax), and the lady to this day still tells me that my eyebrows are uneven. I've started leading the conversation with..."I would like to get my eyebrows threaded, please. Yes, I am aware that they are apparently uneven." haha
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
Tip 1, you are beautiful already. Tip 2, have the most fabulous time of your life!
ReplyDeleteI hate styling my hair too! I can do a blowout, curl it or straighten it. And even do a pouf thingie or bangs tied back. But that's about it!
ReplyDeleteI do the safety pin trick too, it works so well!

WHAT? That braid is gorgeous! There are a lot of people in the world who cannot to a simple braid let alone a pretty one like yours! Also, for beauty abroad taking your favorite things and putting them in travel sizes (multiples of them) and using them until they're absolutely gone helps. That way you're only using exactly what you need in the exact amount.
ReplyDeleteI am also always trying to reduce my beauty routine, especially to make travel easier (both in the mornings and in my suitcase!) For warm locations, I can get down to SPF, cream blush, lip stain, and mascara! Sunglasses and a thick headband cover up a lot of the things that I might fuss with regularly!
ReplyDeleteI have totally done that with my eyebrows, it was a sad day. What are you going to Greece for? I studied abroad in Athens it is an amazing place!
ReplyDeleteI just got my eyebrows waxed and the girl wanted to know where I went that messed them up so bad.....*ahem* how about my bathroom?! LOL!
ReplyDeletei love your hair, it looks very nice.
ReplyDeleteI HATE plucking, with a passion and I'm slightly thankful I don't have to do it very often. Also, my mom totally taught me the safety pin thing between the eye lashes. pretty legit! I just found your blog and I'm so glad I did! I'm excited to be following along now !
ReplyDeleteGreece! How amazing! I am a wax-er...so much easier! You have gorgeous hair!
ReplyDeleteGirl, get that pin away from your eye! I have a metal lash comb that doesn't seem much safer, but can't be as bad!
ReplyDelete(If you're interested, I'm giving away a pair of Emma McKinstry earrings valued at $70. Enter here.)
I avoid mascara clumps by wiping off excess mascara off the wand before I apply so not goopy. And oh boy if I could tell my 22 year old baby goth self not over pluck my brows I would. Now I will never have thick brows again.
